Refund Policy
A thirty-day right of return, granted without condition, in addition to and not in substitution for any statutory right conferred by the law of the user's own jurisdiction.
The thirty-day right of return
A written request sent to support@casestudies.chat within thirty days of a payment will be refunded in full. No reason need be given and no form is required. This is a contractual undertaking of the operator, granted in addition to the statutory rights set out below.
How to make a request
Requests should be sent to support@casestudies.chat from the email address registered to the account. Requests may alternatively be made directly to Paddle at paddle.net, being the party that processed the payment.
Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Refunds are accordingly issued by Paddle to the original payment method, ordinarily within fourteen days of approval.
Statutory rights
The foregoing is in addition to the law of the user's place of residence. Where the two differ, whichever is more favourable to the user applies. Users need not determine which; a statement of the outcome sought is sufficient and the applicable provision will be applied.
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom. You have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, for any reason. Because Pro works the moment you buy it, the checkout asks you to agree that we begin immediately and to acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once the service has been fully performed — that is how the Consumer Rights Directive and the UK's 2013 Regulations handle a service that starts at once. If you withdraw part-way through, you pay only for what you used. In practice our 30-day promise is longer and simpler, and we will not argue about which one you meant.
- Australia. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If there is a major failure you may cancel and claim a refund, and you may claim compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss; if the failure is not major, we will fix it within a reasonable time.
- New Zealand. The Consumer Guarantees Act applies and nothing here limits it.
- United States. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing and happens in the same place, as California's Automatic Renewal Law and the FTC's rule require. State law may give you more; where it does, it applies.
- Elsewhere. Your local consumer law applies whatever this page says. Write to support@casestudies.chat.
After thirty days
A subscription may be cancelled at any time from My Subscription. Cancellation prevents the next renewal and has no other effect; access continues until the end of the period paid for. A partly used period is not apportioned, save where the user's own law provides otherwise or where the operator has terminated access.
Renewal charges
Where a renewal has been charged notwithstanding an intention to cancel, a request made within thirty days of that renewal will be refunded on the same basis as a first payment. Notice is sent by email in advance of every renewal.
Refunds made without application
- If we end your access during a period you have paid for, the unused part comes back.
- If a payment was taken twice, the second one comes back.
- If we retire something you were paying for and you tell us it mattered, the unused part comes back.
Payments made by Alipay
Refunds are returned by the original payment method. Alipay does not support chargebacks; users encountering a difficulty with an Alipay payment should therefore contact the operator by email, and such requests are handled on the same basis as any other.
